The Practice was established/founded in 2011 by Asif Mulla with over 30 years supporting businesses and individuals across a wide range of industries. Over the years, he has worked with clients of all sizes, from start-ups and growing SMEs to larger established organisations and have gained extensive experience across sectors including hedge funds, property, private equity, media, film, construction, retail and many others.

What has always mattered most to him, though, is people. Asif believes every client deserves the same level of care, attention, and respect, no matter the size of their business. Accounting can often feel overwhelming, especially when you’re running a business day to day, so his approach is simple: be approachable, be supportive, and be there to guide clients every step of the way.

We work closely with SMEs and owner-managed businesses, helping from the very beginning and growing alongside our clients as their businesses evolve. Whether it’s bookkeeping, payroll, VAT, tax returns, year-end accounts, other tax advice or ongoing business support, we aim to make things straightforward, practical, and stress-free.

Before starting his own practice, Asif spent many years working in small, medium, and large firms. While those experiences gave him valuable knowledge, they also showed what he wanted to do differently. He realised the large corporate environment wasn’t the right fit for him, and wanted to build a practice with a more personal and human approach, one where client relationships genuinely matter, and staff are valued and respected.

Today, that philosophy still sits at the heart of everything the firm do. They believe good accounting is about more than numbers, it’s about trust, communication, and helping people feel supported and confident in their business journey.
